The name Big Ben was given to a 13.7 tonnes, 2.2 meters tall, 2.9 meters wide hour bell, which is actually the main bell housed within the Clock Tower of the Palace of Westminster.

The tower, named Elizabeth Tower, is 96.3 metres (315.9 ft) high, 15 meters wide. It is the world's largest four-faced, chiming turret clock.
