There's always the "drop test". A real coin will ring when dropped gently onto a counter top. One that has been cut and glued together will make more of a thud. You can usually find the seam where the two pieces join just inside the rim on one side or the other if you examine it carefully with a magnifier. Some have been made with the seam on the edge hidden by a thin layer of added metal which is harder to detect. More info can be found here : http://varietynickels.com/articles/twotailed.htm
Post new question with Why you think it's fake and the date please.
You bet. A tip for youto tell difference, just note the difference on the side between that quarter & a modern one. You notice the modern one has a band of copper in it-silver one's (pre-65) lack the band.
To be a bit blunt, if you can hold it in your hand it's a fake. There's a lot more information at the Related Question, linked below.
If it is a "s" quarter it will always have the S mintmark. You can find this mintmark usually on the back of the coin. The exact location will depend on the type of quarter.
you can tell it's real by the silver. If its real silver it is real. Get it?? I hope that helped you.
hard to tell. could be the minnasota extra tree error but probably the 3031 quarter
We tell real gold by its weight.
A quarter is bigger than a nickle. Also, a quarter has ridges all around the edge whereas a nickel has smooth edges

How can I tell if a Chanel bracelet is real
Look at it under a lens. If you are still not sure then take it to a coin dealer and have them look at it.
Labels are good. It will always tell you if real or processed.
