Cochin chickens cannot be sexed based on their feathers like some other birds. Only two ways to tell, one is by waiting until they are about a month old and the cockerels start to form wattles or by vent sexing them. I do not suggest the vent sexing method unless you have someone who is experienced in the field helping you. It is difficult to tell the difference to an untrained eye. However if you are set on trying it, remember that it needs to be done quickly as the chicks can get ill from infections. Also the vent sexing method does put a fair amount of stress on them.

All in all, my suggestion is to wait.
