Korea is divided into North Korea and South Korea

so they are actually different countries,

aside from their identical language, history and culture.

That's why Korea have 2 flags.

The more commonly used is the South Korean flag (for reasons I think are to do with the Korean War) that has been appraised as the flag of Korea combined.
