Physical geography in Alaska, characterized by its vast wilderness, mountains, and Coastlines, has influenced settlement patterns, resource extraction, and transportation. The harsh climate and rugged terrain make some areas difficult to access, shaping human activities and economic development, particularly in industries like fishing, oil, and mining. Additionally, the diverse ecosystems have fostered a rich Indigenous culture that is deeply connected to the land and its resources. Human geography, including population distribution and urban development, is significantly shaped by these physical features, with many communities relying on subsistence lifestyles.
for me, geography greatly affects history in a sense that geography is not only focusing on the physical features of a land but also in human activities which according to my research belongs to human geography.

Physical geography is a branch of Geography; the main branches of Geography are Physical and Human, these are mainly taught at school level. Physical geography relates to the natural environment.
physical
Physical Geography is the natural side of geography. Weather, rocks, soils, etc. Human is cities, roads, buildings, urbanization, etc. We humans affect physical geography by living. We build roads and buildings. Our cities cause a heat island which is kind of a bubble of heat in urban areas. This is hotter than the surrounding cities. It can influence rain and climate downwind of the heat island. We dump things chancing the soils. There are other ways, but this is a general start on some of the ways that human geography affects physical geography.
