How do people transport themselves in Netherlands?

Trains by far are the most convenient way to travel in Holland. Biking is a common way of transport, and there are big bicycle parkings near stations. Both regional and city buses can be found throughout the country. Because of the extensive train system, the number of long-distance buses is limited to a few missing railway connections. This is all assuming you do not have a personal vehicle for you over there.

That depends on where people are travelling to. Most people ride bikes. There are, in fact, "parking garages" for bicycles. There are also many other modes of transportation, including the Train system (Thalys connects France, Belgium and the Netherlands) but within cities there are tram services (similar to subways but above ground) and also bus systems.

Much like in any other Western country really. Cars, trains, busses, airplanes (not much used nationally since distances are relatively small) and metro (only Amsterdam and Rotterdam) are common ways of transport in the Netherlands. Probably the most used transport by anyone of any age is the bicycle which is seen everywhere.
