First the bad news.....Ryanair don't actually fly out of Frankfurt. They do, however, fly out of Frankfurt-Hahn Airport (Flughafen Frankfurt-Hahn) a commercial airport located 10 km (6.2 mi) from the town of Kirchberg and 20 km (12 mi) from the town of Simmern in the Rhein-Hunsrück district of Rheinland-Palatinate to the west of central Germany.
Just in case you're thinking I'm splitting hairs, despite its name, the airport is situated over 120 km (75 mi) to the west of the city of Frankfurt (by road).
I would suggest a good sat-nav.
This is a trick question, as there are two Frankfurt, Germany's. One is Frankfurt am Oder (on Oder River, borders Poland, Kostryzm nad Odra across river), and there is Frankfurt am Main (in central Germany, on Main River). Be more specific. Schweinfurt is nowhere near Frankfurt am Oder, but is a suburb of Frankfurt am Main. The distance is 177 kilometers on Deutschland Audobahn A3, but from Frankfurt am Oder, it is 522 kilometers down Deutschland Audobahns E49 and E51. Typical americans.

Frankfurt is found in Hesse (German: Hessen). I have to improve my answer, when you just talk about Frankfurt than you usual mean Frankfurt am (on the) Main, which is in Hesse (Hessen) But there is another Frankfurt in Germany, which is called Frankfurt an der (on the) Oder, that is in eastern Germany. This Frankfurt is found in Brandenburg.
