Texas does not require gun registration.
The short answer is, you don't. There is no gun registration in Tennessee. The longer answer is, only a few U.S. states require registration, and there is no national registration. The term "gun registration" may be the single most overused term ever. In Tennessee, if you buy a gun from a dealer, the dealer must fill out a form and perform a background check, but the form is retained at the dealers premises for 25 years, then they are shreded. If you buy a gun from an individual, the only requirement legally is for you to have no reason to believe either party is a prohibited person.
