The New Zealand Women did the same thing the American, British and Australian women did on the war front. They were nurses, surgical nurses, worked in the Red Cross, did clerical duties for the military and anything else that needed doing. Many of those Nurses from all the Allied Nations formed lifelong bonds and some came to see each other in their homelands after the War. As the Brits say, Hip, hip hurray for the New Zealand Women.
