Mwalandiridwa lit. means You are welcome. However, often times Zikomo is repeated by the second party. For instance if you go to the tailor with your broken t-shirt and he fixes it, you pay him and you say Zikomo. The tailor will say Zikomo as well since you came to him with work and you paid him. While mwalandiridwa would be correct if we were talking english, in Chichewa it's often better just to reply with Zikomo since for us it's not always clear when we can use Mwalandiridwa.
