Most birds have a lot of things in common that you have to do... feed everyday, provide fresh, clean water everyday, toys, perches, stuff like that, but most different kind of birds need different kind of care.
Go to your local book or pet store and ask if they have a book on the type of parrot you have or will have and take it from there.

I do not think you can. My parakeets had eggs and they did not hatch because she did not take care of them right. If they do have eggs you may take them away and sell them or kill them.
