The best way to teach an Australian Shepherd sit pretty is to practice, practice, practice. By repeating the process and giving a treat when it is done correctly, the Australian Shepherd will start to sit pretty.
just say in the mic sit
you teach it how to sit first
Yes just teach it to sit. The quote "you can't teach an old dog new tricks." isn't fact based.
It's not a problem if he's not uncomfortable. I've trained my dogs to sit on their tails to keep them from getting stepped on in crowds.
We begin teaching children from babyhood many behavioral adaptations. For examples:Though humans can sit anywhere, we teach babies to sit in a high chair and later at a table to eat meals. We teach babies the differences between food and non-edible items. We teach babies socialization and how to show affection: "Give Grandma a hug."We teach babies "No!"We teach babies and children how to deal with frustration. We teach toddlers toileting practices. We teach children to sit still in church. We teach children to not speak out or yell in church. We teach kids to delay their wants. We teach from babyhood to childhood many concrete and abstract adaptations.
Anywhere he wishes
I am trying to teach my dog to sit but it is the same thing and I am saying sit and them tapping its butt.Answer:Cats are not like dogs; most cats will not respond to commands like a dog will, therefore it is nearly impossible to teach a cat "sit". However, there are a few cats that do learn very simple tricks, but teaching a cat takes much, much longer and constant training than teaching a dog.
To sit there and look pretty.
No it doesn't teach him/her a lesson. If you sit with him he will think its alright to get into timeout because he/she will have her/his mom/dad.
maybe you could take it to a training school.
German Shepherds are very smart dogs. Many police use them as the K- 9 unit. You can teach them to do unbelievable things! Some dogs do tricks for treats or just for you to give them a good pat. Probally one of the most basic tricks is Sit. To make them sit, take your dog and a treat, hold the treat in your hand, and wait until the dog puts his/her butt on the floor. Right when she/he does, immediatly reward him with a treat saying "Sit." Keep doing that and eventually Rover will get the idea. Pretty simple. You can teach them to do other things like stay or lay down. You can make him/ her lay down by holding a treat in your hand, make them sit, then put your hand to the ground. Your dog will follow it, and lay down. Once he/she is on the ground, laying down, Say "Lay down" Or whatever you want to call the trick. Be sure to encourage and praise your dog alot, and not to yell at him/ her if she/he messes up. Try not to get frustrated, it takes patience to train a dog.
push a treat down on his nose he will have to sit then say sit 5 times and give em the treat later on he will want more treats and sit
