How does New York down town look?

It looks a lot like the neighborhoods closest to it: the Upper West Side and Morningside Heights. Lots of streets lined with brownstones and townhouses, lots of big apartment buildings, and lots of shops and restaurants.

it is a very big city with alot of pedestrians and since there is alot of cars it tends to be very crowded
