They have the warmest fur out of any mammal in the Arctic. They do need to hunt quite a bit, and if they dont eat enough, they wont survive. They hunt arctic hares, lemmings, vole, little auk, and puffin. In the summertime they will store some of their food for the Winter. Sometimes when food is scarce, they will scavenge from other animal kills.
