What is the major factor that led to the birth of modern industry in Europe? To have modern industry in Europe, you have to have the resources coal and iron ore. The coal which came from Great Britain(UK) and the iron ore from France and Germany allowed the production of steel which gave part hugely in the Industrial revolution.
Modern technology needs more energy to work, which means more fossil fuels need to be burned. Fossil fuels release CO2. With more fossil fuels being burned because of a higher energy demand from modern technology, more CO2 is released.
