1-2 weeks maybe 3 weeks.
It's supposed to take between 8 and 12 weeks. However, my experience of surface mail is not good. Posted six parcels all around the same time. Two got sent airmail, one arrived after 11 weeks and three never arrived at all. Having looked on the Internet it seems to me that parcels regularly going missing when sent surface mail. Recommend you take the insurance out or spend the extra on sending it airmail.
The UK Royal Mail website says 5 days for Air Mail, and 2 weeks for surface mail. For a letter these are almost the same price, so you're much better off using Air Mail. For packages the prices differences are greater, so you may prefer the less-expensive Surface Mail if you have unlimited time.
First Class Mail from the UK to Australia typically takes between 5 to 7 working days for delivery. However, this timeframe can vary due to factors such as customs processing and local postal services. It's always a good idea to check with the postal service for the most accurate and current estimates.
Surface mail is overseas mail that goes by ship rather than by air. Parcel mail is for parcels.
