The RMS QM2 transatlantic ocean liner is also known as the Queen Mary 2. Only one company, out of several companies, won the bid to build the ocean liner, and that company was Chantiers de l'Antlantique of France. The ship was first launched in 2003.
Mary II was the co-reigning Queen with William (Hence William and Mary college) Mary II died of Smallpox in l694. She was buried in Westminster Abbey as a sovereign Queen . There are only Five sovereign queens buried in the Abbey. (there are of course consorts and princesses) Hence the name of the Ocean Liner.

People may have died of natural causes, as the lengthy ocean voyages paced things out- as people die of natural causes in Hotels and this is not considered an accident, fire, mishap, etc. Obviously passengers probably did die from natural causes- but the Queen Mary- as a civil Ocean Liner- was never involved in any Fatal accidents.
It depends. Currently, the Queen Mary 2 is the only Ocean Liner left in the world. So, any ship bigger than that like Oasis of the Seas or Allure of the Seas would prove that only a few cruise ships surpass the size of the one Ocean Liner left in the world.
