The kings of the Han Dynasty ruled China for about 400 years. They ruled from 206 BC until 220 AD. The population during the Han Dynasty was 57,671,400.
The Sui was one of the shortest lasting dynasty of all of them. (581-618).
There was no time limit or constraint as to how long or how little a dynasty could rule. A dynasty in ancient China was basically the time period where people of same lineage (family) were the ruling authority or in imperial China's case : emperor. A dynasty started when China was under full (or near full) control of a new family and ended when the emperor of that family was deposed. Thus there were no time limits.
The Qin Dynasty
There was no Chang dynasty, however the Shang dynasty ruled China from 1600 BC until 1046 BC. This would make their rule around 554 years.
The last dynasty in China was the Qing Dynasty and they fell after Ci Xi's death. Dynastic rule ended in 1911
The Ming dynasty ended the Yuan (Mongolian) dynasty.
The Hans didn't rule harshly like the Qins in their dynasty of ancient China. The Han dynasty was China's Golden Age anyway.
