All dogs, regardless of breed or size carry pups for 60 to 65 days. This is counted from the first time they were bred. Usually large breeds carry pups for the shorter 60 days and small breeds carry the longer term. Average is 63 days. However if you have a female you breed reguarly if she carry's a litter 60 days, the successive pregnancy's will also be 60 days unless there is a problem. It is not recommened to allow any dog to breed before they are 2 years old. Younger is like a 12 or 13 year old girl having a baby, which is not usually a good thing.
