As with anything which goes through the U.S. mail, there is no guarantee as to the length of time required for a piece of mail to reach any destination. The postal clerks will give you a "ballpark" estimate. You can pay extra for various delivery services, such as "next day", etc. Like any other service, though, things sometimes get lost or go astray. Considering the sheer volume of the mails, 44-cents is still a pretty good deal.
