On a ferry!
On the Isle of Wight which is located just off the coast of Southern England. You can catch a ferry from Portsmouth, Southampton and Lymington across The Solent. It is located in Newport, which is in the centre of the island. You can get to Newport from the ferry terminals by bus or by car. Hope this helps xxx
The Isle of Wight.
Portsmouth Harbour is probably the best idea if you're looking to go to East Wight, the ferry port to ryde is attached to the train station. Alighting at Portsmouth and Southsea leads you to a bus to a hovercraft, also ending up in Ryde. Southampton is an easier bet if you're looking for West Wight, but the ferry port is further from the train station than in portsmouth; about a 20 minute walk.
