The Norwegian Krag came in only one caliber, 6.5x55mm Swedish, because in 1896 the Swedish and Norwegian armies decided to accept a common cartridge. However, the Swedes adopted the Model 1896 Mauser rifle, which was mechanically stronger than the Krag, and consequently most people feel that a Norwegian Krag should be shot with lightly-loaded ammo rather than full-power Swedish ammunition.
The Kingdom of Denmark also adopted Krag rifles, in 8x58mm rimmed, and the US bought manufacturing rights to build Krag rifles chambered in .30-40 US.

Sorry- but this is not a question, but a request. You will have a greater chance of finding a 98 Krag if you post on some of the military firearm forum sites. Good luck.
Your Krag-Jorgensen model of 1892 rifle(1894) was arsenal altered to the model of 1896.This was done to 21,264 rifles by the U.S.Gov.in 1896.
It was made in 1898. Other info. on your rifle is sometimes available from Springfield Armory records depending on serial number for a fee.
Your 1898 krag-jorgensen rifle which was made in 1901,is valued at between 600-1,450 dollars for a gun with 60%-90% original finish remaining and a good bore.I would have it appraised by a good collector before considering any sale first.
