As of 2011, the largest percentage of the Mexican population, about 10%, is in the age group of 15-19. This "bubble" of population will eventually rise into the 20-year-old segment.

One 2009 estimate of the "teen" population (technically ages 13 to 19) was between 15 and 18 million of the country's 112 million people.
