My son's wife is Japanese and worked in a Toyota factory in Japan in 2001-2006. She says that starting income is about $18,000 per year. Benefits are worth about $3000 per year. Average income for a worker is about $31,000. I guess that's why it's hard for our companies to compete. She thinks that we are crazy or stupid for paying a bunch of high school graduates so much for doing such a simple job.

Well what a thought, heres one. These Americn workers in these Toyota plants like Georgetown, Ky. will probley last about 15 years working at the pace and stress they put on their bodies. Between worn out shoulders, knees, hips, and all other kinds of wear-down on their bodies they will be lucky to surivive to retire. So when you go and bash workers for making a descent living think about how much money their companies are putting in the bank and doing it at the cost of the broken down bodies of the workers. I suggest you try their jobs and see how much they go through, I know because I am one of them with two bad sholders and hip.......
