I am an assistant teacher in Mississippi, and we don't make any money! We average around 14,500.00 a year! We make less than assistants in all other states. Some say our job isn't necessary, but I wish all assistants would take a week off on the same day, and let's see how the week would go! We are very important to the children, and teachers we work with. It's terrible that we struggle to make a living doing something as important as helping kids as they get an education!
