Glasgow International Airport does not have a train station. To make this journey you would have to travel into Glasgow City Centre, the easiest way to do this would be to take the shuttle bus to Buchanan Bus Station. From Buchanan Bus Station, it is around a ten minute walk to Queen Street Station where a train to Edinburgh will take around an hour, depending on the route.
A lot more than a train ticket to Glasgow and a taxi from there!
the cost of the trip would be 2,400,500
An hour by air to Glasgow or Edinburgh, however with check-in times and travel to and from the airport, it's closer to 3 1/2 hours. By rail, it's between 4 hrs 5mins and 5 hours. If you want your journey to be comfortable, I recommend the train.
No ============================================== [Edit] No, Edinburgh is further north. However, there is not much in it: Glasgow is 55°51' north and Edinburgh is 55°57'.
It takes one hour if the traffic is good, depending on your starting point. During rush hour this journey will take much longer. A train between Glasgow and Edinburgh is usually about one hour, sometimes up to one hour and fifteen minutes depending on the number of stations.
Oh, isn't that a lovely question? Well, both Glasgow and Edinburgh have their own charming airports, each with its own unique beauty. Glasgow Airport is a bit larger in size and handles more passengers, while Edinburgh Airport has a longer runway. But remember, it's not about the size that matters, it's about the joy of travel and the wonderful destinations you can explore from either airport.
In England it's London, but in Britain its Edinburgh, Glasgow and Belfast with as much as 3 times knife rates.
From Cardiff to Glasgow is some 400 miles and would cost about £75 in petrol.
Too much.. More than any other transport.. £250 return train fare to Edinburgh > 6.5 hours travelling..... £60 return + £65 Car parking from Stansted to Edinburgh > 3 hours or less! £100 to drive car there and back > 10 - 15 hours!

Actually, most people in Scotland live in the central belt region, which includes cities like Glasgow and Edinburgh. The Southern Uplands are a mountainous region in the southern part of Scotland with a much smaller population compared to the central belt.
It varies on the time of travel and how far you book in advance. Expect to pay around £50 return for 1 adult, however you can get a substantially cheaper fare if you book between 10-12 weeks in advance.
