How should you dress in Libya?

If you are a guy, typical slacks and shirts (polo or button-down). No one will say anything to you if you are wearing a t-shirt but to fit in better, don't. For women, clothing options might be a bit more restrictive. Even though Egypt is "liberal" in comparison to other Arab countries, arms and legs should be covered.

In layers. It can be hot during the day and cool during the night, so you need to easily remove or replace clothing. No Egyptians expect tourists to dress in ethnic Egyptian clothing (they'd just laugh at you). However, a conservative approach will gain much favor from the locals.
