No. Even if you have a have a hunting license, a deer tag and haven't hit your limit, roadkill deer is illegal. Dead deer on the road, call animal services. On your property, bury it.
Here's what I've found out: The accident should be reported to the police, though it isn't necessary to report it to insurance. If you want the deer, inform the officer of that and they will contact a Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries (DWF) official to let you do that. It is illegal if the DWF doesn't know about it and you are caught with it. It's probably the same if you just see it on the road. I think the DWF just wants to keep tabs on the numbers, and make sure people aren't intentionally killing deer by hitting them.
Yes they are legal you can take them with you in your baggage without getting stoped.
Much to the amusement of some but with serious intent, this past legislative session included modifications to the state's so-called "roadkill law" to address the impacts of vehicle collisions with bears and moose as well as deer. Simply put, in Connecticut if your vehicle strikes and fatally injures one of these animals, once the authorities have attended to the accident scene you are entitled to take the animal home and eat it. If you do not choose to exercise this right, anyone else who wishes to take possession of the carcass has the right to take it home and eat it.
According to Division of Wildlife (DOW) for Ohio, road kill rules are covered by Ohio rev. code # section1533.121 DOW Ohio rule 1533.121 states a driver that kills a deer may take possession provided that within 24 hours he notifies a wildlife officer or other law enforcement officer of the event, who will then investigate the situation and give a certificate of legal ownership, if everything checks out. Except for a coyote, which is legal to pick-up in Ohio, you should have your hunting license or fur takers permit to take possession of racoons, fox or mink etc.
You can't hunt a female deer. It is against the law because if you hunt female deer. There will be no offspring, and if there is no offspring, the deer population will die out, and they will become extinct........ wrong!!!! it is very legal to take does. in fact t is now encouraged. some states require you to take a doe before you ever come close to taking a buck
I crow could not kill an adult raccoon but would take advantage of a raccoon roadkill.
It depends on where the deer live. Coyotes and bob cats will take a sick, weak or young deer. Wolves will take adult healthy deer. Bears are also a threat. Man is the deer's biggest predator.
Take your birth certificate along with you and your parent or legal guardian and take the test!
If you mean, is it legal, yes. If you mean, is it polite... generally, you don't ask for a doggy bag at a banquet, no.
