Yes, Assam is often referred to as a "blind valley" due to its geographical features. The region is surrounded by hills and is situated in a low-lying area, creating a natural basin that can limit drainage. This topography can lead to issues such as flooding during heavy rains and impacts the region's ecology and agriculture. The term "blind valley" highlights the challenges posed by its unique landscape.
