What is the difference between a Catalan Nationalist and a Catalanist?

The two words are interchangeable, really. Amongst Catalanists/Catalan nationalists, some adhere to the idea of promoting the national identity and autonomy of only Catalonia proper, others want it to encompass all the territories where Catalan is spoken. Some 'radicals' still aim for a totally independent Catalonia, but most Catalan nationalists/Catalanists are happy with an autonomous Catalonia within the kingdom of Spain.
