There is no country called Southern Ireland. There is the Republic of Ireland with 26 counties and Northern Ireland with 6 counties. Using terms like southern Ireland leaves people with the impression the country is equally divided into a north half and a southern half. Not so. Look at a map: Northern Ireland is more properly 'north-east Ireland'; in fact one county (Donegal) is further north than 'Northern Ireland'. And yes, it is a sovereign nation. Article 5 of the Irish constitution states:
"Ireland is a sovereign, independent, democratic state."
The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is not a nation but a group of nations grouped together into a sovereign state. The four nations of this state are, Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Ireland is a nation itself. If you are talking about Northern Ireland, then technically it is part of the United Kingdom.
Edward Joseph O'Higgins has written: 'State and nation in Ireland'
England is a nation within the sovereign state of the United Kingdom (or more properly, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland).
Ireland IS a nation. There are no other nations in Ireland.
Ireland.
Ireland is a country. It is not in any state.
Historians estimate that humans occupied Ireland about 10,000 years ago and 4,000 BC farming began. The Celts arrived around 300BC and had a huge influence on Ireland. Much history has taken place in Ireland, but in 1937 constitution re established the state as the Republic of Ireland.
Ireland is a nation. As to whether all 32 counties will come under that, which is what your question is meaning, we can only wait and see.
scotland
The capital city of Ireland is Dublin.
No 'Tribe' controls Ireland now because it is as modern as every other nation. Sounds as if you think Ireland is extremely backwards.
