All dust is harmful to breathe! I once got pneumonia from sanding Honduran mahogany - down for a week. Since wear a mask and use air cleaners when sanding.
Other sites state that SC dust is a carcenogen and that sanding without protection will ruin your taste buds for days. Neither is good. Generally the finer the dust, the worse it is for you (goes deeper into the lungs). SC has really fine dust.
However - not poisonous ala lacewood, which seems to have some of the same qualities as poison ivy.
yes

A person can be expected to breath in approx. 48 pounds of dust in a lifetime.

Yes it is.
Cedar trees are not considered poisonous to horses, but they can pose health risks. The dust from cedar wood shavings can irritate a horse's respiratory system, leading to issues like heaves or other respiratory problems. Additionally, some horses may have allergic reactions to cedar dust. It's best to monitor their exposure to cedar products and consult a veterinarian if any health concerns arise.
"Nada polvo" in Spanish translates to "no dust" in English.
Many people develop asthma and bronchial spasms from exposure to red cedar or red cedar dust. This is due to an allergic reaction to plicatic acid present in the wood.
