Tampa, Florida, is located on the Gulf of Mexico side of the state. It is situated on the west coast, near the entrance to Tampa Bay, which opens into the Gulf. The city is known for its waterfront and proximity to various Gulf Coast beaches.

Cuba is surrounded by three bodies of water. The Gulf of Mexico lies to its north while the Atlantic and Caribbean sea are on either side.
Alabama and Georgia both border Florida. They are on the north side of the state. The rest of Florida is surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean.
