Greenwich Millennium Village was designed in 1998 and now has over 1,000 completed homes built to new standards of sustainability. It is the first successful example of a masterplanned village where the design addresses environmental concerns while still providing a pleasant environment in which to live. It was designed by the late Ralph Erskine and has been praised for its innovative design and is regularly visited by students of architecture. While homes were being built and sold there was substantial demand for the new homes and now there is a thriving resale and rental market for apartments in the village. The developer is Countryside Properties and Taylor Wimpey Developments in association with the Homes and Communities Agency.

If you don't know where it is then why not visit? It is a short walk away from the O2 arena down the peninsula, so get off the Jubilee Line at North Greenwich.
