There are hundreds thousands of westerner in China now working and travelling most of them are enjoying themselves very much. Maybe China just opened to the world not long so the Chinese still treat most foreigners as stars. Especially in small places. In big cities you are just as safe as where you are now it is normal life. Look at how many weterners are working and travel in China now and then you will see how others feel about the safety in China.

Yes, exactly. I used to have so many foreign clients. All of them said it's quite easy to travel in China as long as you have legal credential. And I believe, most Chinese people are hospitable.

In my opinion, u can't say any place in the world is 100% safe. But i think China is much safer than some other places, there are much less crimes on the street or other public places.

So be easy to come to China! But if you come alone, u'd better find a travel agency, they save get much of your troubles on transportation, hotel etc.

the answer is complex, china would like to think with all its numbers (millions of soldiers) it dangerous but economically they depend on Europe and America for financial support (importing products) and if they stopped due to china going to war they would have to finacialy support 1.5 billion people as all there money comes from doing business overseas so economically there as weak as a Kitten. ask for there army, numbers don't count for much when you got to travel across the planet to get to Britain or America and they could not move unopposed without going through Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and eastern Europe just to get to Britain they would have to fight all the way to us which is a poor battle plan making there numbers count for nothing because there position and size make them not so mobile and lets not get into the fact that chines men are smaller then 12 year old British girls so there quality is poor too. My views are that china should be feared like Spiders, you may have a phobia but at the end of the day there small and weak ha.
