the national gov. had too much power in some areas and the states had to much power in others. for example, the states had the power to print their own currency, which led to confusion for travelers because they had to stop and trade one states coins for anothers.

The police have been accused for abusing the police power by overstepping some of their mandate. At one point in time, all the states of the US abused police powers. Some of these states include Virginia, Alaska, California, Colorado, and Florida just to mention but a few.
