According to thefreedicionary.com, oil replaced coffee as the nation's leading legal export in 1991. Cocaine is the major illicit export, accounting for about 25% of foreign exchange earnings.

However, I must be point out that cocaine does not generate income for the government (taxes are not collected to support education, infrastructure, or health care, etc.) or the general population since the majority of the income is kept in the hands of the people controlling the industry, so therefor it's commerce that doesn't benefit the country.
