No, not really. Ireland now uses the Euro, since 2002. Éire still appears on the back of those coins. The Euro can be used in 18 different countries, and there are versions in each country, but any version can be used in any country. Before 2002 Ireland used pounds and pence, back to 1971. There are lots of those coins around. Prior to that it used pounds, shillings and pence, or what is still often referred to as "old money". Even coins of that era are still easy to find. So you would need to have a very old Irish coin for it to be of any great collector's value.
