The West Walnut bridge is the oldest in Green Bay, Wisconsin. In 1863, a bridge was funded and built in the borough of Fort Howard. It ran to what then was called Main Street, and what now is called West Walnut. Before its building, residents relied on the ferry to get passengers and goods to and from the east and west sides of the subsequent Green Bay.
The Tilleman bridge (Mason St) was completed in 1973, The Nitschke bridge ( Main St / Dousman st ) was completed in 1998 , and the Walnut St bridge was completed in 1987.
