Everyone has those days when it's a bad time for someone to come visit. Just tell them the truth such as 'I would love to have you come to visit, but this is not a good time for me so can I have a rain-check?'
The Cayman Islands is a popular destination for not only tourists, but for business bankers too. Grand Cayman is considered the Little Switzerland of the Caribbean. There are over 200 banks located in their small downtown area. The Cayman Islands are still under British Rule and is run with the same pomp and circumstance as England. Grand Cayman is the largest of the three islands that make up the Cayman Islands but is itself only about 75 square miles. You can drive around the entire island in a few hours. The capital of Grand Cayman is Georgetown but you will want to take a trip over to visit the city of Hell and send a postcard from it’s historic post office. Send a Wish you were here postcard to everyone on your list. Not too far from Hell you will find the Turtle Farm in the West Bay area. The turtles are mainly raised for the turtle meat but they do release some back to the sea each year. Many people arrange their vacations so they can be there for this amazing event. Another event worth noting is the annual Fishing tournemant. It draws fisherman in from all over the world to compete for the prizes offered. The beaches of Grand Cayman are world renowned. Seven Mile Beach is the most beautiful stretch of white sand beach you can find in the Caribbean. Along this beach you will find some of the finest hotels, resorts, and condominiums. Grand Cayman offers many different restaurants, most are located within their popular hotels and resorts. The Conch House is an island favorite and you can try some local Conch while you are there. Jerk chicken is another popular island dish. Most of the hotels offer shows and live entertainment to keep you entertained but most close up around midnight. Getting a good nights sleep is not so bad when you can wake up early to go snorkeling or scuba diving along the Cayman Reef just off shore. Golf is also popular on Grand Cayman. The Hyatt has a special golf course that offers a special Jack Nicklaus Cayman short ball. It was designed to not go as far when hit since the golf course is smaller due to the size of the land available on the island. Grand Cayman is a popular stop for many cruise ships. They dock by the pier in Georgetown and tourists can stroll through the city and shop in their fabulous shops. You can find great deals on watches, jewelry, and crystal. An interesting fact to know is that residents of Grand Cayman pay no income taxes. What you make is what you get. Salaries are high, but then again, the cost of living is high. Just about everything has to be brought in by airplane or boat. The main industries in Grand Cayman are Banking and Tourism. Though most of the banks only have to show they have an office with a phone and fax line and only rent out a small room in the tall office building downtown.

The Peak Months of June, July and August put a tremendous strain on the facilities of the NPS and their contractors because of the number of visitors and December and January can bring low temperatures for the unprepared Arizona traveler. There is however no bad time to make that visit. It deserves a place on the list of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.
