I think they are extended state benefits which will be 6 weeks. I am currently on unemployment and about ready to exhaust my tier 2 benefits (14 weeks) and then Ill move on to 13 more weeks and then 6 more weeks...and then I think thats all I'll get unless something new is passed. Hope this is right and hope this helps
UB-initial 26 weeks
EUB benfits which include
Tier 1-20 weeks
Tier 2-14 weeks
Tier 3-13 weeks
State benfits- additional 6 weeks
This only adds up t0 79 weeks though and I was told that you can be eligible for 99 weeks total! So im not sure where the additional 20 weeks come in.
yes, this package does provide for additional unemployment compensation beyond the 13 week Federal extention. (tier 3 and tier 4 were added to federal extension for Tennessee the first week of December 2009. this carries into early months of 2010.) if you are on tier 2 you should automaticaly transition on to tier 3, if you are on tier 3, you should automatically transition on to tier 4. you will receive a letter the week you get your last check from that tier.
The Tier IV extension of 20 weeks was just passed. Future extensions have not been discussed.

Cab tier is a non permanent electrical cord used for hooking up machinery. If the machinery is deemed a "non permanent" machine cab tier is generally used unless deemed unsafe due to "traffic". Basically in laymen's terms an extension cord.
if you qualify your unemployment extends into the EUC, emergency unemployment compensation. obama just signed the extension in dec 2010 that extends benefits until dec 2011. if you exhausted your regular benefits you will apply for EUC and begin tier 1 of benefits (20 weeks) then tier 2 (14 weeks) tier 3 (13 weeks) and tier 4 (6 weeks) after that you could qualify for SEB, state extended benefits (20 weeks) if all of the EUC has been exhausted before 12/31/11
3 tier system
Besides the original period, Tier I (26 weeks), there are 3 extensions: Tier II (14 weeks); Tier III (13); and Tier IV (6) for a grand total of 59 weeks.
Client tier is actually a 3 tier hierarchical structure which includes cliet tier, application tier and data tier.

Here is the official website stating Ohio gets total of 99 weeks of unemployment if eligible (as of Nov. 29, 2010): Check the Related Link below. If you are initially approved for unemployment benefits in Ohio you may collect benefits for 26 weeks, providing you meet all eligibility requests each week. After you exhaust your initial 26 weeks, you may qualify for Federal Extended unemployment benefits. If approved, your weekly benefit amount will remain the same. This is called the Tier 1 program. If you still were actively seeking, but unable to seek employment within the Tier 1 program you may qualify for the Tier 2 program, which may be a lower benefit amount than the initial 26 weeks or the Tier 1 program. On Friday, November 21, 2008, the federal "Unemployment Compensation Extension Act of 2008" was signed into law. This act extended Emergency Unemployment Compensation benefits from 13 to 20 weeks. It also provided for an additional 13 weeks of federal compensation for individuals in states with high unemployment rates, including Ohio.
