Requirements for the Application of a Business Visa

• Covering letter from the applicant's organization, mentioning the name, designation and passport no of the applicant and specific purpose of visit (simply mentioning for "business purpose" is not sufficient). The signatory for the letter should indicate his/her name and designation along with official seal of the company.

• Invitation letter from Ethiopia addressed to the Consulate General. It should also mention specific purpose of the visit with duration while indicating the name, designation of the visitor along with name, designation of the signatory and official seal of the company
• NOTE: - [Invitation letter & Investment license copy from Ethiopia should fax us & mail us.] COMPULSORY
• Authorization letter.
• For those going for employment, signed copy of the employment contract/letter of appointment indicating duration of contract and position should be attached.
• One visa form duly filled in with one photo.
• Round trip Air-Ticket.
• Passport valid at least for 6 month.
• Yellow fever certificate
• One Xerox copy of passport & yellow fever.

- Validity/duration of visa:

• single entry for one month - Maximum one year to be seen on case by case bases

- Visa fee:

• Indian Nationals: Rs.1040/- by DD "Consulate General of the F. D. R. Of Ethiopia"
• Other Foreigners: In US$ 20 (US Citizens: $70)

- Visa Hours:

• Submission: 10:00a.m - 1:00p.m
• Collection: 2:00p.m - 2:30p.m (next working day)
