It depends when you're talking about. Rome is never really freezing cold as some people living in North America would understand it, for example, but it can be chilly in winter. It snowed in February this year, for the first time in 21 years!

At the moment it's fairly mild but very wet in Rome. As winter goes into early spring the weather will start to warm up and by April it will be very mild, although it can still be wet.

In June and July the climate in Rome is almost unbearably hot. It them cools down again as summer goes into autumn.

I've attached some links to Rome in winter and Spring which give information about specific temperatures.
