People Worship Pharaohs because they believed he was a a god ofeternity that meant he was god in the after life and in the living life, so they constantly worshiped him.
Pharaoh Akhenaten demanded that his people practice a new monotheistic religion focused on the god Aten. He attempted to shift Egyptian religion away from the traditional polytheistic beliefs towards the worship of a single deity during his reign in the 14th century BC.
The Egyptian leader who wanted the people to worship only the god Aten was Pharaoh Akhenaten, originally known as Amenhotep IV. He established a form of monotheism centered on Aten, the sun disk, and promoted this religious shift by building a new capital, Akhetaten (modern-day Amarna). Akhenaten's reforms were revolutionary for the time but faced significant resistance and were largely reversed after his death.
God instructed Moses to go to Pharaoh and demand the release of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. He was to tell Pharaoh, "Let my people go, so that they may worship me in the wilderness."
The pharaoh Akhenaten is most known for his attempt to bring about a monotheistic religion rather than the accepted polytheism. His worship centered around Aten, the sun-disk. This religion was ultimately rejected by his people.
