For my understanding this question seems to be about the cell phone usage. I presume the person was interested in knowing whether the same charges are applicable for the cell phone usage if he uses the cell phone in Kodaikanal.

The answer is both the chennai and the Kodaikanal are the part of Tamilnadu cirlce. So if one purchased SIM Card in either chennai or in some other district of tamilnadu, he can roam around throughout tamilnadu. The charges are same everywhere. It is just the local circle roaming. So the charges are same as the local call charges. The roaming charges will not apply
