Yes! There was a hotel in Atlantic City named the Hersh Carlton. It was at the corner of Chelsea Ave. and the Boardwalk. It was owned by Ben and Anna Hersh. It was taken over by the US Air Corps during World War II. After that the Hersh's continued to run it for another 3 years and then sold the property to Teplitzkey's. The Chelsea(Hotel) now stands in that spot. The Board Room of The Chelsea is dedicated to the original hoteliers, Ben and Anna Hersh, along with housing the history and many pieces of memorabilia of The Hersh Carlton.
