Antarctica is extremely cold with severe winds up to 320 Kph. It is a long way from anywhere and would be very difficult to transport all of the necessary building materials and equipment and just as difficult to accomodate all of the construction worker.
Any sort of development on Antarctica would be disastrous to the environment and would open the flood gates for all sorts of other things like mining. At present, the expense and difficulty of developing Antarctica is one way Antarctica is being kept safe. Another is The Antarctic Treaty, which forbids any human activity except in pursuit of science.
There is no development allowed in Antarctica, per the Antarctic Treaty.
No.
no
There is no infrastructure in Antarctica, no hospitality centers, no venues there, and no commercial transportation to and from the continent.
Antarctica is one of the seven continents on earth. People are motivated to travel to Antarctica for the same reasons they are motivated to travel to the other destinations.
reasons why children development is not following expected patterns
There are various reasons that we should try and look after Antarctica. For example, if the ice sheet that covers 98% of Antarctica melts a lot then the sea level will rise.
Scientists work temporarily in Antarctica, in order to collect raw data about the health of planet Earth.
because it creates jobs and money for people!
five importance of development region
There is no development of Antarctica. The continent is covered -- 98% of it -- with an ice sheet. All land and ice south of 60 degrees S is protected by the Antarctic Treaty, which dedicates that area to the scientific study of the health of planet earth -- and forbids development or commerce of any kind.
Admiral Byrd led the US Development Program to Antarctica in 1946, named Operation Highjump. You can read more about it, below.
