HI, Eritrea is located on the Red sea, known as a huge hub for trade for millions of years. The red sea was occupied by the Ottoman empire for over 200 years and later the Egyptian, then Italy. Before that, Eritrea was also known to have traces of the first evidence of human civilizations, quite possibly being the original man and expanding their genes and chromosomes all over the globe, there are even traces of Eritreans Pharaohs, Israel leaders, and Greek philosophers. Scholars from Greece called them the gods of the sun for their godly knowledge of the world. In fact it is believed a island outside of Greece was named after Eritrea spelled ERYTHEIA (meaning red in greek) in worship to the Gods. It is safe to say that Eritrean are a mixture of many different ethnic groups, as is the rest of the world, just a little more obvious with the beautiful people of Eritrea.
