There are not that many myths about him. The most famous one concerns the last labor of Hercules, the most difdficult one.
Hercules was to descend into the underworld and persuade Hades to lend him Cerberus. Cerberus was to be taken up on earth and shown to King Eurysteus, then taken back again. And Hercules did all that.
The Greek myths have no relation to our chronology.
Cerberus. He's the dog that guarded the River Styx in Greek and Roman mythology, and was the pet of Hades/Pluto. Cerberus was actually a three-headed dog, though.
Cerberus, the three-headed dog of Greek mythology, had several siblings, the most notable of which include the Hydra, the Chimera, and the Nemean Lion. All of them were offspring of the primordial entities Echidna and Typhon. These creatures, like Cerberus, were often associated with challenges or monstrous tasks faced by heroes in various myths.
Cerberus origionated in Greek Mythology, and was a three headed guard dog.
Depending on sources the siblings of Cerberus include Orthos, the Hydra of Lerna, Khimaira, the Sphinx, the Hesperian Drakon, the Caucasian Eagle, the Crommyonian Sow, Gorgon, the Dragon of Colchis, Scylla, as well as the otherwise unnamed Echidnades (son of Ekhidna).
Hades permitted Heracles to fetch Cerberus from Hell, when the hero presented him with his petition.
In the Lightning Thief, Cerberus guards the entrance to the Underworld. Percy Jackson and his friends encounter Cerberus while trying to retrieve the Master Bolt in the Underworld. They manage to distract Cerberus long enough to escape with their mission accomplished.

In Greek mythology, Cerberus is the three-headed dog that guards the entrance to the underworld. Cerberus's main rival is typically considered to be Heracles (Hercules), who was tasked with capturing Cerberus as one of his twelve labors. Other rivals or adversaries of Cerberus could include gods or heroes who attempted to enter or exit the underworld without permission, as Cerberus's role was to prevent such intrusions.
A few include the Sphinx, Cerberus, and Ladon. Hope this helped! :)
