California could almost be a country unto itself. Its coast is more than a thousand miles long and the state is hundreds of miles wide. It has huge metropolises and wide open spaces. It has the lowest spot in the continental United States (Death Valley) as well as the highest (Mount Whitney). It has beautiful Coastlines and arid deserts. You can spend a great weekend in California or an entire lifetime exploring.

Some of the top places that tourists enjoy are:

• San Diego-- including SeaWorld and Balboa Park
• Death Valley--incredible sand dunes and vast deserts
• Redwood National Park--in extreme Northern California
• Mendocino Coast--rocky, often secluded coast
• Hollywood--movie memories and hip shops and restaurants
• San Francisco--hills, fog, Alcatraz, Coit Tower, North Beach, Chinatown
• Disneyland--Once a small park now an entire family experience
• Yosemite--one of the first and most beautiful national parks
• Sequoia National Park--home to some of the largest and oldest trees

the great California meteor basin, the salt mines (it doesnt matter which one they are everywhere), crepe town (its like Chinatown but its for french people and they hand out free crepes), and lake akratopee (its about 40 miles wide just as deep beautiful place to be)
